A lot of places offer great alternatives to your traditional door-to-door affair and we’ve compiled a few of them just for you!

Try a Spooky Party

What if Halloween was an event on its own! We are talking about a magic show, concert, costume contest etc… all with social distancing and masks of course! Bring your kid(s) to a real party! Local art centers, schools, farms and other local businesses often host a spooky event that will create wonderful memories.
If you travel to Vermont this fall, the Southern Vermont Art center is organizing just that: a spooky event with everything you need to keep the Halloween tradition going.

Drive and Treat

When “pimp my ride” makes a comeback with a kid-friendly spooky twist! Create a new Halloween tradition by decorating your car instead of costumes and then do a drive by. You can either organize a drive trick-or-treat within your community, OR attend one already set up like the Auburn Parks and Recreation Complex‘s drive-through event in Alabama.

Zoolloween is ON!

If your little ones are into animal costumes this year, we recommend looking at your local zoo! They have the perfect set up for an outdoor event and will make sure to provide a fun experience for all. We love what the Cleveland Zoo is doing for example.

A Magical Halloween

Perfect for the very little ones and your own inner child. Theme parks like Disneyland Paris  have put together events for you and the kids to safely celebrate Halloween. And since their Halloween celebration goes on for a full month, it does allow for crowd control.

Virtual Trick-or-Treat

If going places still isn’t a safe option where you live, you can always try out a virtual event this year! Many candy companies are trying to make things interesting and have organized a way to celebrate Halloween right in the comfort of your own home!
